Tulsa, Oklahoma

Ryan surprised me with a trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma for my upcoming birthday. I know what you are thinking, why did they go to Tulsa? Well I wondered the same thing but it was quite fun, not a place I ever need to go back and see again but it was nice just to go somewhere. Ryan and I had so much fun together, I can think of many times in the 2 1/2 day trip that we were both laughing out loud together (over quite nerdy things I may add). I have my match... :)
6 hours of driving, $80 lost at the casino (between the both of us, phew right?), 18 holes of golf, and a tour of of the late Waite Phillips' (founder of Phillips 66 and Route 66 oil connoisseur) mansion later we are home again. Back to the old grind.

What a Beautiful Day!

I just had to say that spring is here! Today in Kansas it was a balmy 80 degrees and I couldn't be happier. I came home from class and Ryan and I went and played tennis, it was so awesome. He beat me of course, but I will get back up to my gaming potential again... I love the smell and the birds chirping and opening the patio door for fresh air. I become a new and happier person when it is beautiful outside. If only I didn't have my gastrointestinal finals coming up next week, ugh! That means spending the weekend indoors studying anatomy and pathology... oh well, after that my mom, tony, and the kids come and I am on Spring break! It should be fun.

Ryan is going to St. Louis this weekend to meet his parents so I am having a study party on campus all weekend (not literally, though)... some people have taken me WAY too seriously on that one! No, I am not throwing a study party on campus... sigh. Anyways, I hope everyone else's weekend goes wonderful and that you too have some beautiful weather coming your way.

Happy Spring

Who Wouldn't Want to be me

Savannah just left and I'm so sad. It is hard to see her and then she leaves again... However, I did have to let everyone know about our ROCKING concert last night (March 3, 08). We went to the Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood concert at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City and all I can say is what a show! If you haven't listened to Carrie Underwood's new CD, it is a must! We got there and didn't realize that our seats were right on the catwalk!! Perhaps the high of the evening is when Keith Urban was playing and Savannah was googling at him near the catwalk and he looked at her and said in his beautiful Australian accent, "I like your shirt" OMG! (There is a picture) She was wearing one of his old tour shirts so there was a big picture of him on it... Nice choice Savay. Enjoy our pictures and videos of the event... I still can't get over how close we were. Thanks for coming with me Nanny, I love you!
